The loss of playtime in children’s early years is contributing to an epidemic of teenage depression and mental illness in Australia, according to leading adolescent psychologist, Dr Michael Carr-Gregg.
Dr Carr-Gregg is a keynote speaker at the Inaugural Playgroup Australia “Power of Play” Conference that is being held this week on Queensland’s Gold Coast from the 5th -7th of November 2009.
